At Mind Your Monkey, we believe the most meaningful work happens when specialist knowledge reaches the people who need it most. Donating our practitioners' time and expertise to Larita Academy, an intensive training program for at-risk young people in Victoria, through Larita EmPath™ training days is one of the most direct ways we put that belief into action.
Our practitioners and subject matter experts give their time, knowledge and professional experience at no cost, because we want the coaches, support crew, youth partners and employment partners working alongside young people to feel genuinely equipped, not just trained. We ensure the whole network around a young person operates with consistency, psychological safety and care.
Our pro bono commitment runs deep. Alongside Larita EmPath™ training days , our team deliver specialist modules directly at Larita Academy, working alongside young people in the room. Practitioners also give their time to curriculum review, program logic and formal governance, including sitting on the Advisory Working Group (AWG), to ensure Larita Academy's practices remain inclusive, evidence-informed and aligned with child safe standards.
For us, this partnership is also a reflection of who we are as a practice. We're committed to using our expertise in service of the broader community, and investing in programs that create real, lasting change supporting young people to thrive.
